Wild Black Cherry Tree

A lovely scented candle ‘wild black cherry’ that I bought as a gift for a friend is gorgeous.

I often veer away from candles as I have 2 cats and I’m convinced they’ll spontaneously combust if they go within a metre of an open flame 😅 As a small business cheerleader though I went to the opening of The Wandering Bee following their relocation, what a store! The whole place is so carefully thought out and so beautifully decorated, my Dad commented - someone really cares about this place, you can just tell. Such a gorgeous place to visit, whether you want to buy or not! I felt it’d be rude not to show my support by buying a candle, and figured I’d get one as a gift for someone. And then I smelled their ‘Wild Black Cherry Tree’ scent. Stuff the cats, I needed that scent in my life! I’m now a couple of weeks in lighting it daily and it’s still going strong, the scent has actually become my motivation and focus. I put my daughter down for a nap, head into the office, light the candle, and I’m set for a few hours work until she wakes up. It’s utterly wonderful. It looks great, the smell is divine, and a really ‘mature’ and carefully curated scent. Someone has put a lot of effort into creating these candles, and I for one am very grateful! I got a little tunnelling as I blew it out before the recommended burn time, but I followed the tips to fix this found on the business’ instagram page and it worked a treat. I’ll absolutely be buying again, I almost can’t wait for this one to run out so I can choose my next scent! I’d encourage anyone local (or visiting) to head into The Wandering Bee, have a chat to the friendly and knowledgable staff, have a sniff of the divine candles, and have a look at the other goodies in store. Also feel it’s worth mentioning… my cats are fine, and barely go near the candle, though I never leave it unattended…just in case!
